Employment Opportunities
We are always on the look-out for Watch Leaders and Charter Crew.
The position of Watch Leader requires a high degree of responsibility and maturity. Watch Leaders are responsible for supervising student crew groups of up to 7 students throughout the entirety of their voyage experience. Professional Watch Leaders are employed by the Bermuda Sloop Foundation for up to 12 months. This is an ideal option for those who want to explore a career in the maritime industry. While acting as a watch leader individuals can pursue further vocational training and certification in marine occupations. Professional Watch Leaders are also eligible to participate in BSF’s growing exchange programme with foreign sail training vessels.
Charter Crew run the ship and cater to passengers when Spirit has been chartered to an outside party.
