Boston Sail was a busy time. Four of our new sails were taken down, sent back for some quick warrantee tweaking, and bent back on. A number of our veteran crew departed, and were replaced by new blood, eager to be at sea. Finally, several parties and some shopping later, Spirit cast lines and was underway. With minimal sail set, lest we pick up too much speed amongst the hundreds of boats milling about in Boston Harbor, we made our way out to open water, where we sailed a few circles to give all the new crew some experience of tacking & jibing. And then, with spirits high and winds low, to sea. As the light waned, the wind waxed, and we made our way through the night in force four winds, making between five and seven knots toward Nova Scotia, Lunenburg, and the next Tall Ships extravaganza at Halifax, with the sometimes foggy route stretching fine and clear before us.
