Marine Occupations Pathway
This programme is still emerging, but remains a priority for the Bermuda Sloop Foundation as it seeks to support students transitioning from school into careers in the maritime arena. The Marine Occupations Pathway offers students age 16-21, who have expressed an interest in a marine career path, specific course offerings coupled with practical sea experiences culminating in the attainment of one of three levels of maritime accreditation. Participation in this program is supplemented by paid professional internships, in the students' area of focus, such as Professional Watch Leader aboard Spirit of Bermuda and/or other local charter vessel.
