Sing along with Nova

The chance to sing a duet with Bermudian rock star Heather Nova is up for grabs for aspiring Bermudian male vocalists.

Ms Nova has written a song entitled ‘Bermuda Sloop’, which she hopes will help raise the remaining funds needed to build the long-awaited sail training vessel of the Bermuda Sloop Foundation. The sloop is currently being constructed at a boatyard in Rockport, Maine.

The Sloop Foundation’s Alan Burland said male hopefuls can contact the BSF at bermudasloop@cwbda.bm or at 236-0383 (ask for Malcolm Kirkland) if they wish to provide a demo.

Demos must be submitted by the end of the year, he said. Candidates will then be short-listed and a singer is expected to be selected by mid-February for recording in March.
